Role Overview:

The Month End Controller will oversee the end-to-end global month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with group accounting policies.

The role will act as a key liaison between the Shared Service Centre (SSC), regional controllership teams, and global finance, ensuring smooth closing cycles while driving continuous improvement in finance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and drive the month-end closing calendar, ensuring adherence to deadlines and visibility across stakeholders.

- Lead the global month-end close process, ensuring financial accuracy and completeness.

- Ensure consistency and control over trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet reporting.

- Collaborate with BPO partners and regional accounting teams to ensure effective execution of closing activities.

- Identify, report, and support remediation of control or process issues identified during the closing cycle.

- Drive standardization, automation, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce close cycle time.

- Support group audit and compliance requirements, ensuring documentation and controls are maintained.

- Prepare and present closing KPIs and performance metrics to leadership.

- Work closely with finance leadership to ensure alignment with group accounting policies and reporting frameworks.

Key Requirements:

- CA or equivalent advanced finance qualification.

- 12+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or controllership roles.

- Strong experience in month-end close processes within multinational organizations.

- Hands-on experience with SAP or other major ERP systems.

- Experience managing BPO partners supporting finance processes.

- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global and multicultural environment.

Preferred Skills:

- Advanced Excel and financial data analysis capabilities.

- Experience as a Global Process Owner.

- Exposure to finance transformation, automation, or system implementation projects.
