- In this role, you will be responsible for accounting and reporting in Germany and France, reporting to the EMEA Finance Director in London. You will manage the German finance team and a local provider in France for accounting services across all business units. You will coach, motivate, and develop your team and foster effective collaboration with other departments.

What you can expect:

- A motivated team in the Finance department that sees itself as a service provider for other departments, management, and group accounting in the USA

- Responsibility for monthly and quarterly US GAAP reporting for Germany and France, including reconciliation of key general ledger accounts

- Business partner and key advisor to management, for example, during the implementation of SAS in France

- Reporting of expected cash flows on a revolving balance sheet Basic services include:

- Reviewing VAT returns and ongoing tax prepayments

- Coordinating the preparation of annual financial statements according to local GAAP and coordinating tax returns and corresponding local audits.

- Coordination of tax returns and corresponding local audits. Review of (externally prepared) payroll and financial personnel matters

- Communication with our commercial banks and approval of bank payments and expenditures in accordance with the expenditure authority matrix

- Communication with external tax advisors regarding pending issues

What you bring to the table:

- Experience working with multiple accounting standards (including US GAAP)

- Master's or Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent qualification

- Extensive knowledge and experience in preparing local financial statements, particularly according to German GAAP (HGB)

- Experience in successfully managing a finance team

- Very good English skills (written and spoken), French skills are an advantage

- Experience in an international environment with virtual teams and different time zones is an advantage

- Excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of financial processes and business metrics

- High level of commitment and ambition to handle high workloads and changing priorities

- Experience with major ERP systems and BI reporting tools, SAP is a plus

- Willingness to travel occasionally within EMEA (France and UK) and USA
