Role Summary:
The Sales Manager is a high-impact leadership role responsible for architecting and executing the commercial strategy to drive exponential business growth. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, you will bridge the gap between high-level organizational goals and daily frontline execution. This position demands a strategic thinker who can manage complex client relationships while simultaneously fostering a high-performance culture within the sales team.
You will work in a cross-functional capacity, collaborating with Marketing to refine lead generation and with Product teams to ensure the value proposition remains competitive. Your success will be measured by the team's ability to consistently meet revenue targets, expand market share, and maintain long-term client loyalty through sophisticated sales methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive sales plans and tactical initiatives to achieve aggressive revenue targets and market expansion.
- Team Leadership & Performance: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, setting clear KPIs, assigning territories, and conducting regular performance reviews to ensure goals are met.
- Revenue Growth Ownership: Take full accountability for the regional or departmental sales quota, driving month-on-month growth through new acquisitions and account expansion.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Sales and cross-functional teams (Marketing and Product) to align sales efforts with product roadmaps and marketing campaigns.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with key accounts and enterprise-level stakeholders to ensure long-term retention and high Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).
- Pipeline Management: Oversee the end-to-end sales funnel, ensuring high data integrity within the CRM and providing accurate weekly/monthly sales forecasts to senior leadership.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor movements, and customer feedback to pivot sales strategies and maintain a dominant market position.
- Sales Enablement & Mentorship: Identify skill gaps within the team and provide targeted coaching, training, and sales toolkits to improve conversion rates at every stage of the funnel.
- Process Optimization: Streamline sales workflows to reduce the sales cycle duration and improve team efficiency through automation and better lead-scoring models.
Technical & Professional Requirements:
- Strategic Planning: Proven experience in developing "Go-to-Market" (GTM) strategies and scaling sales operations in a competitive environment.
- Analytical Proficiency: Strong ability to interpret complex sales data, financial metrics, and market research to drive informed decision-making.
- CRM Mastery: Advanced proficiency in managing enterprise-grade CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track pipeline velocity and team productivity.
- Market Intelligence: Deep understanding of the specific industry vertical, including competitor landscape and pricing strategies.
- Forecasting Excellence: Demonstrated track record of providing accurate revenue forecasts and managing sales budgets effectively.
