MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE / IL6S LEAD

Location: Induri, Pune

Function: Manufacturing / Supply Chain

Reporting to: Plant Director

ROLE PURPOSE:

Lead the plant's IL6S (Integrated Lean Six Sigma) / Manufacturing Excellence journey, building a zero-loss and continuous-improvement culture and improving overall plant performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Own and drive the IL6S / Manufacturing Excellence roadmap for the site

- Identify and eliminate key losses across productivity, OEE, reliability, quality, cost and operational performance

- Drive relevant TPM/IL6S pillars, including AM, PM and Focused Improvement

- Build strong shop-floor capability and ownership through coaching and structured problem solving

- Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, HR and Finance to deliver sustainable improvement

- Drive the plant's productivity agenda and longer-term improvement pipeline

- Strengthen governance, performance management and continuous-improvement systems across the site

WHAT THIS ROLE IS REALLY ABOUT:

- Driving Manufacturing Excellence / IL6S as part of day-to-day factory operations

- Working closely with Plant Leadership, Production, Engineering, Quality, and SCM

- Improving productivity, efficiency, cost, safety, and quality through structured problem-solving

- Embedding standard ways of working (daily management, tier meetings, visual management)

- Building capability and ownership on the shopfloor - not managing improvement from a distance

IDEAL PROFILE:

- Strong plant manufacturing/operations experience with exposure to Manufacturing Excellence, TPM, Lean, IWS/IL6S or Continuous Improvement

- Hands-on understanding of OEE, loss elimination, RCA, reliability and shop-floor improvement

- Strong influencing and change-management capability - critical given the role's position on the Plant Leadership Team

WHAT KIND OF EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

- Strong prior experience in manufacturing/factory operations (production, plant operations, manufacturing, maintenance, or operations leadership roles)

- Working knowledge and practical exposure to IL6S / Manufacturing Excellence / Lean / TPM / Continuous Improvement

- Proven ability to drive improvements on the shopfloor, alongside line leaders and operators

- Backgrounds from FMCG, Pharma, Automotive, Chemicals, or large manufacturing setups

KEY NOTE:

We are looking for manufacturing leaders with strong, hands-on factory operations experience who have applied or worked with Manufacturing Excellence / IL6S principles as part of their roles.

Deep plant operations exposure is essential; formal IL6S or Manufacturing Excellence titles are valuable but not mandatory, provided there is a solid understanding and practical application of these frameworks on the shopfloor.
