Role Objective:

We are looking for a true techno-commercial individual who is excited to take up new challenges. He would be expected to Supplier development - Add new suppliers, negotiate with current suppliers for OEM's product category & quality assurance parameters.

Role Responsibilites:

Vendor Development & Supplier Quality (SDE)

- Feasibility Reviews: Conduct detailed Feasibility and Manufacturing ability reviews based on engineering drawings before verifying supplier capabilities

- Process Development: Drive the development process from the drawing phase up to Mass Production.

- Documentation & Standards: execute APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process); prepare and review QMS documentation.

- On-Site Management: Work with the supplier's & customer team to manage the project lifecycle, ensuring all QA standards are aligned & adhered for all dispatches.

- Audits: Plan and conduct QA Audits at supplier facilities to validate process capabilities.

- Performance Monitoring: Track supplier effectiveness, specifically monitoring Quality concerns and OTIF (On-Time In-Full) metrics.

- NC Closure: Manage the Non-Conformance (NC) process. This includes identifying defects, driving Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with the supplier, and ensuring permanent closure of NCS.

Category Management:

- Category management: Build network of manufacturing capabilities (pan-India) by creating a robust supplier base specifically for (but not limited to) Fasteners, Rubber, Plastic, and Forging categories.

- Costing & Negotiation: Handle techno-commercial negotiations, zero based costing, including detailed costing analysis to ensure competitive pricing without compromising quality.

- Stakeholder management: Manage internal & external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of components as per customer requirements and create opportunities with new customers & suppliers.

Team Management:

- Team lead: Overseeing daily work management of 2 to 3 quality inspectors working at pan-India level.

Experience & Qualification:

- 8+ years of experience in Procurement Manufacturing products category - (Fasteners, Rubber, Plastic, Forging categories)

- Start-up experience would be an added advantage.

- High level of ownership, willingness to set up things from scratch.

- Must have flair for new and evolving technologies and has a vision to transform a traditional

- B.tech & MBA (pref.) from a reputed institute
