Role Objective:

The incumbent will be responsible for leading end-to-end manufacturing operations for Sameer Appliances. This includes day-to-day operations management at the Manufacturing Plant and the entire supply chain operations for the business. The role also requires sourcing outsourced or traded products for the business. The key focus categories include water pumps, motors, fans, and appliances. The role requires a hands-on supply chain and manufacturing leader with strong expertise in supply chain processes, sourcing, plant operations, supply chain coordination, product development and cost management across these product categories.

The incumbent will be responsible for driving world-class standards in safety, quality, productivity, asset utilization, and operational excellence, while ensuring cost competitiveness, sustainable profitability, and scalable growth of the business. The role will also involve building a high-performance manufacturing culture, strengthening operational processes, and continuously improving plant efficiency and capacity utilization.

Role Responsibilities:

- Own end-to-end supply chain operations, including production, procurement, quality control, product development, manpower deployment and delivery across focus categories.

- Ensure achievement of production targets in line with business demand in terms of cost competitiveness, quality control and supply timelines.

- Drive optimum utilization of plant capacity, machinery, manpower and other resources.

- Drive debottlenecking and capacity enhancement initiatives to maximize throughput.

- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), plant availability, working capital deployment and reduce operational downtime.

- Establish robust operating processes, systems and performance metrics across the plant.

- Drive manufacturing cost competitiveness through process optimization, energy efficiency, yield improvement and waste reduction.

- Establish robust preventive and predictive maintenance systems to improve equipment reliability.

- Ensure consistent product quality through root-cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement.

- Lead plant expansion, automation, new product commercialization and productivity enhancement projects.

- Lead new product development alongside value addition and value engineering.

Qualification & Experience:

Work Experience:

- 10+ years of supply chain and operations experience with at least 5 years in an operations leadership role.

- Proven experience in Water Pumps, Electric Fans, Kitchen Appliances, or related consumer durables or electrical manufacturing industries.

- Experience in driving key metrics including cost competitiveness, plant productivity, operational excellence, quality control and product development initiatives.

Knowledge / Skills:

Technical Competencies:

- Strong understanding of Water Pump, Electric Fan and Kitchen Appliance manufacturing technologies and value-added products.

- Expertise in production planning, maintenance management, quality systems, and supply chain coordination.

- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence frameworks preferred.

- Data-driven decision-making and problem-solving skills.

- High ownership mindset with strong execution orientation.
