Role Overview:
The Head - Training & Placements shall lead the University's corporate relations, student employability, training, internships, and placement initiatives to strengthen industry engagement and career outcomes across academic programs.
The role requires a highly professional, industry-oriented, and execution-driven leader capable of building strong corporate partnerships, driving placement strategies, enhancing student readiness, and positioning the University as a preferred talent destination for recruiters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the University's Training & Placement and Career Development Centre (CDC) functions across all schools and departments.
- Develop and execute placement and internship strategies to enhance student career outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, recruiters, industry leaders, and hiring partners.
- Drive campus recruitment initiatives, corporate outreach, employer engagement, and placement partnerships.
- Design and oversee student training programs focused on employability, communication, aptitude, interview readiness, and professional development.
- Coordinate internships, live projects, industry interactions, workshops, guest lectures, alumni engagement initiatives, and corporate events.
- Maintain recruiter databases, placement MIS, analytics, reports, and placement documentation.
- Collect recruiter feedback and analyse hiring trends to improve placement outcomes and student readiness.
- Work closely with academic leadership and faculty teams to align industry expectations with student competencies.
- Lead the CDC and Placement team with professionalism, accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from a reputed institution.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources, Marketing, Business Management, or related fields shall be preferred.
- Additional certifications in Training, Career Development, Leadership Coaching, or Corporate Relations will be an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in Training & Placements, Corporate Relations, Talent Acquisition, Career Services, or Industry Engagement.
- Experience in universities, higher education institutions, corporate HR, L&D, or placement-focused leadership roles will be highly desirable.
- Strong corporate network and proven track record in managing campus placements and recruiter partnerships preferred.
- Experience in handling multidisciplinary placement functions and student employability initiatives preferred.
