Role Overview:
The Dean - School of Business (SOB) at Mody University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all academic and administrative functions within the School of Business. This role involves fostering a vibrant learning environment, promoting research excellence, developing innovative curriculum, and building strong relationships with industry partners and other stakeholders. The Dean works closely with faculty, staff, students, and university leadership to ensure the SOB achieves its goals and contributes to the overall success of Mody University. The Dean is responsible for driving the school's growth, enhancing its reputation, and ensuring its programs remain relevant and competitive in the dynamic business landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategic plan for the School of Business, aligning it with the university's overall mission and goals, to ensure sustainable growth and academic excellence.
- Lead and manage the faculty and staff within the School of Business, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment, to promote high performance and job satisfaction.
- Oversee the development and implementation of innovative and relevant curriculum, incorporating industry best practices and emerging trends, to prepare students for successful careers in business.
- Promote and support research activities within the School of Business, encouraging faculty to engage in high-quality research and scholarly activities, to enhance the school's reputation and contribute to the advancement of knowledge.
- Manage the School of Business's budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and in alignment with strategic priorities, to maximize the school's impact and financial sustainability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, alumni, and other stakeholders, creating opportunities for collaboration, internships, and placements, to enhance the school's reputation and provide valuable experiences for students.
- Ensure the School of Business meets all accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining the school's credibility and ensuring the quality of its programs.
- Implement performance appraisal systems for faculty and staff, providing regular feedback and opportunities for professional development, to improve performance and retain talent.
- Drive initiatives for skill development among students, incorporating practical training, workshops, and industry interactions, to enhance their employability and career prospects.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, effectively conveying information and building consensus.
- A Ph.D. in a relevant business discipline from a reputed institution is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10-20 years of experience in academic administration and leadership roles within a business school or university setting.
