Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities: - Commodity Trading: Execute and monitor trades for specific commodities, markets, or vendor/customer segments in domestic markets, particularly on a speculative basis. - Contract Management: Reconcile, maintain, and follow up on contracts. Coordinate with vendors and brokers to ensure timely execution and closure of contracts. - MIS Reporting: Prepare and circulate relevant MIS reports on parities, positions, and trading activities to the leadership team. - Market Intelligence: Track customer and competitor activity, industry trends, and developments in the distillery and feed (NEDEX, Poultry Feed, STAR Agri) sectors. Analyze these insights to identify and convert opportunities. - Problem-Solving: Independently manage moderately complex trading and operational issues, escalating only more complex matters to senior management. - Project Assistance: Support the Trading Manager in identifying and evaluating short-term and long-term opportunities in specific agri-commodities. - Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong formal and informal relationship networks both within and outside the organization. - Business Acumen: Apply a strong understanding of business dynamics and market forces to help achieve organizational goals. - Compliance: Ensure adherence to all legal and compliance frameworks relevant to commodity markets and trading activities. - Other Duties: Handle additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by management.
