Role Overview:
Working under the leadership of the clients Senior Security Manager, the GSOC Team Manager, will oversee a dynamic team of analysts providing 24/7 threat monitoring, emergency messaging and geopolitical risk assessments.
This leadership role requires the management and leadership of a diverse team, ensuring high-quality intelligence production, incident management, and travel security solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the 24/7 Threat Monitoring Team, ensuring seamless operations across all shifts.
Ensures current processes are followed correctly and facilitate coordination across shifts.
- Oversee and coordinate the incident management process, ensuring rapid responses to emerging risks.
- Ensure the effective communication of security measures to clients and staff, particularly in terms of travel risk management.
- Foster a high-performance environment for the team, encouraging professional development and adherence to companys risk mitigation standards.
- Provide strategic direction for the teams efforts in global threat monitoring and reporting.
- Review GSOC outputs and products to ensure a consistently high-quality standard.
- Develop and implement GSOC process improvements to respond to changing demands, including identifying opportunities to automate / streamline existing GSOC tasks.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and business partners to effectively support their needs.
- Assist with the identification, acquisition and development of new products and services.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in GSOC operations (whether as an analyst / operator or manager), threat intelligence, risk analysis, or related leadership roles.
- Experience in fields like executive protection, intelligence, operations, crisis management, corporate security, or emergency response is strongly preferred.
- Good command of physical security principles and practices is essential.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, especially within a security environment, are required.
- Additionally, a demonstrated ability to effectively handle and lead during security incidents and crises is crucial.
- Education: Masters degree or bachelors degree with equivalent experience in political science, economics, international relations, political economy, or related fields.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities are required to effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, employees, and law enforcement agencies.
- Technological Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of PowerBI, Tableau, or Decision Trees is an advantage.
- Experience with OSINT tools is desirable.
- Leadership Expertise: Proven capability to lead, motivate, and guide teams while making strategic decisions that drive operational efficiency and ensure smooth security operations.
- Personnel Management: Responsibility to manage team efficiently as well as regulate their day to day functioning.
- Travel Security: Ability to create travel briefs and support in crisis during travel.
- Emergency Support: Ability to support company and employees in any high crisis and emergency situations 24/7.
- Dynamic Work Environment: Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic, flexible environment with shifting priorities.
- Multi-tasking: Ability to multi-task effectively, meeting multiple deadlines under pressure.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Intelligence Analyst,) are a plus.
