Minix Fintech - Project Manager/Technical Project Manager

Posted 2 weeks ago
Posted 2 weeks ago

About the Role:

We're looking for a Technical Project Manager to drive planning and delivery across our trading technology stack, execution systems, market data infrastructure, strategy research pipelines, and risk/compliance tooling. You'll coordinate work where latency and reliability are critical, sequence releases around exchange connectivity and market hours, and keep quant research, low-latency engineering, and infra teams in lockstep, owning the Agile process end-to-end while building enough technical fluency to spot risk early and keep releases safe.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery across execution/OMS systems, market data feed handlers, strategy deployment pipelines, and risk & compliance tooling.

- Sequence & coordinate releases touching exchange connectivity, colocation infrastructure, or production trading systems, factoring in market hours and change-freeze periods.

- Manage dependencies across quant research, low-latency engineering, infra, and risk teams; escalate cross-team blockers before they impact desk readiness.

- Own Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) and maintain Jira artifacts: epics, stories, sprints, boards, backlogs, roadmaps, dashboards.

- Track progress, identify technical and operational risks early (connectivity issues, capacity constraints), and drive mitigation with engineering leads.

- Prepare and present status reports and delivery metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time, release readiness) to leadership, quant, and trading stakeholders.

- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation across concurrent infrastructure and strategy-support initiatives.

- Bridge technical teams (engineering, quant) & business stakeholders (traders, risk, compliance), translating desk priorities into engineering-ready scope.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 4-8+ years in project management, with 2+ years on technical/software projects; experience in trading technology or other latency-sensitive, real-time systems strongly preferred.

- Hands-on experience with Jira; boards, workflows, sprints, reporting; and solid grounding in Agile/Scrum (CSM/PSM a plus).

- Proven project planning skills: scoping, estimation, scheduling, resource planning for technical initiatives.

- Enough technical fluency to engage engineering on trade-offs, SDLC, APIs, databases, networking, cloud/on-prem infra; familiarity with market data feeds, OMS, or exchange connectivity is a strong plus.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication across quants & engineers.

- Strong problem-solving skills, managing multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-moving environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

- Solid understanding of financial markets expected; prior exposure to quant or algorithmic trading is a significant advantage.

Preferred / Good to Have:

- PMP, CSM, PSM, or SAFe certification.

- Prior delivery experience in quant trading, or exchange-facing technology environment.

- Familiarity with low-latency concepts and why they matter here.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and release management for production trading systems.

- Experience coordinating with exchanges, data vendors, or regulatory/compliance teams (e.g., SEBI-regulated environments).

- Experience managing distributed/remote teams.

Soft Skills:

- Strong leadership & team facilitation, with composure under market-driven time pressure.

- Excellent verbal and written communication across technical and commercial audiences.

- Detail-oriented and organized; precision matters when a release touches live trading systems.

- Proactive, ownership-driven, with sound judgment on when to escalate vs. resolve independently.
