Our client, a leading global consulting firm is supporting a major metals and mining client on a large-scale operational transformation program.

As part of this initiative, the firm is looking to onboard experienced Mining Consultant with strong mining operations and development expertise. The consultant will work closely with the consulting team and client leadership to drive improvements across mine development cycles, operational efficiency, and production performance.

This is a high-impact role where the consultant will contribute directly to improving productivity, recovery, and operational excellence across key mining processes. The assignment offers the opportunity to work on one of Indias most strategically important metal mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the consulting and client operations teams in tracking project metrics, progress, and execution status at the mine site

- Assist in diagnosing and improving mine development cycles, including planning, sequencing, and stoping operations

- Help drive capacity enhancement initiatives across hoisting systems, fleet management, and processing infrastructure

- Provide analytical and operational support across safety, recovery improvement, spares management, fleet balancing, and workforce optimization

- Collaborate closely with senior client stakeholders and on-site teams to execute transformation initiatives

Your Background:

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in mining operations or mine development projects

- Undergraduate degree in Mining Engineering, preferably from IIT(ISM) Dhanbad or other top mining institutes

Strong exposure to:

- Mine planning, development, and stoping.

- Infrastructure & hoisting systems.

- Equipment and workforce management.

- Processing improvement, recovery optimisation, or productivity improvement.

- Experience in metals mining is mandatory. (Not to be considered: candidates with coal mining experience)

- Preferred companies: Tata Steel and other leading metal/mineral mining companies.

Other Details:

- The role will be on an initiate contract duration of 12-months. The location is flexible, but the consultant must be willing to travel to the mine site as required and work closely with the BCG and client teams. Travel arrangements will be facilitated as per project norms.
