Company: Wunderbar Kids Pvt. Ltd. Mindseed | Foundree | Vishwajyot Schools

Function: Data, Analytics & Business Intelligence

Location: Mumbai / Navi Mumbai

Experience: 23 Years

Compensation: 1015 LPA; flexible for an exceptional candidate

About Wunderbar Kids:

Wunderbar Kids Pvt. Ltd. operates Mindseed, Foundree and Vishwajyot Schools, with a growing presence in the Education sector.

As we scale, data and technology will play an increasingly important role in how we understand our business, make decisions, improve efficiency and identify opportunities for growth.

We are looking for a sharp, curious and highly analytical professional who can help us transform the data generated across the organisation into visibility, insights and action.

This is not intended to be a conventional MIS reporting role.

While owning and strengthening MIS will be an important starting point, we are looking for someone who can progressively build our Business Intelligence capability, automate reporting, use AI and technology intelligently, identify patterns within data and work with leadership on solving business problems.

The Opportunity:

Imagine having access to data generated across a growing education organisationfrom admissions and enrolments to centre performance, academics, marketing, sales, customer behaviour, people and financial performance.

Your job is to help us answer three questions: What is happening? Why is it happening? What should we do about it?

- The role provides an opportunity to work across functions, understand how different parts of the organisation operate and progressively become a data and insights partner to business leaders and management.

- For someone with strong analytical ability, curiosity and ambition, the role can grow significantly beyond MIS and Business Intelligence into business analytics, strategy, process improvement and organisation-wide transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Own & Strengthen Management MIS:

Take ownership of the organisation's regular management information and reporting processes.

Responsibilities will include:

- Manage daily, weekly and monthly MIS across key business functions.

- Ensure accuracy, consistency and timeliness of management information.

- Consolidate information from multiple systems and data sources.

- Improve existing MIS formats to make information easier to understand and act upon.

- Reduce manual intervention and repetitive reporting wherever possible.

- Establish clear definitions and a "single source of truth" for critical business metrics.

- Identify data gaps and work with respective functions to improve data quality.

The objective is to progressively move the organisation from data compilation to intelligent decision support.

2. Build Business Intelligence & Dashboards:

Develop dashboards that provide management and functional teams with granular, self-service visibility into business performance.

Potential areas may include:

- Admissions and enrolment

- Centre / School performance

- Sales funnels and conversions

- Marketing effectiveness

- Lead generation and conversion

- Academic and operational metrics

- Customer / Parent metrics

- Employee and HR analytics

- Financial and commercial performance

Build dashboards that allow users to move from organisation-level information to region, centre, function, team and individual-level analysis, wherever relevant.

The goal should be to reduce dependence on manually generated reports and enable managers to access the information they need independently.

3. Move from Reporting to Insights:

We do not want someone who merely reports: "Admissions are 8% below target."

We want someone curious enough to ask: Why?

And then use data to investigate:

- Which centres are driving the variance?

- Is it a lead-generation problem or a conversion problem?

- Has something changed compared with the previous period?

- Are there patterns across geography, teams or customer segments?

- What does the data suggest we should do differently?

The incumbent will be expected to identify trends, anomalies, correlations and business opportunities and translate these into clear, actionable insights for management.

4. AI-Enabled Analytics & Productivity:

Actively explore how modern AI and Large Language Model tools can improve the organisation's reporting, analysis and decision-making processes.

This may include using tools such as Claude and other relevant AI/LLM platforms to:

- Accelerate data analysis.

- Automate repetitive analytical tasks.

- Improve report generation.

- Analyse large datasets and identify patterns.

- Generate management summaries.

- Improve data interrogation and interpretation.

- Prototype new analytical workflows.

- Improve personal and organisational productivity.

We are not necessarily looking for an AI specialist. We are looking for someone who is comfortable experimenting with technology and continuously finding smarter ways of working.

5. Automation & Coding:

Use basic-to-intermediate coding and automation capabilities to improve the organisation's data infrastructure.

Depending upon the candidate's skill set, this could involve:

- SQL

- Python

- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets

- Power BI / Tableau / Looker Studio or similar BI platforms

- APIs and integrations

- Workflow automation tools

- AI-assisted coding

Automate repetitive data collection, cleaning, transformation and reporting processes wherever practical. The emphasis will be on solving business problems through technology rather than coding for its own sake.

6. Business & Efficiency Projects:

The role will deliberately extend beyond data and MIS. As the individual develops an understanding of the organisation, they will be encouraged to identify and drive projects that improve organisational effectiveness.

Examples could include:

- Process automation

- Productivity improvement

- Workflow redesign

- Identifying operational bottlenecks

- Improving utilisation of technology

- Reducing manual work

- Improving turnaround times

- Building management tools and trackers

- Cross-functional problem-solving projects

We are looking for someone who sees a problem and instinctively thinks: "There must be a better way of doing this."

7. Strategic Decision Support:

Work closely with management and functional leaders to provide data-backed inputs for important business decisions.

This could include:

- Business performance analysis

- Centre-level performance benchmarking

- Growth and expansion analysis

- Productivity analysis

- Resource optimisation

- Revenue and profitability analysis

- Scenario modelling

- Identification of business trends and opportunities

Over time, the individual should develop the ability to translate complex data into simple, commercially relevant recommendations.

What We Are Looking For:

Educational Background:

- Engineering graduate preferred.

- Candidates from strong engineering institutions, particularly in Mumbai and Pune, will be preferred.

- Candidates from other strong quantitative / analytical academic backgrounds may also be considered if they demonstrate exceptional analytical ability.

Experience:

Approximately 23 years of corporate experience in one or more of the following:

- Business Intelligence

- Business Analytics

- Data Analytics

- MIS

- Strategy / Business Planning

- Process Automation

- Business Excellence

- Technology-enabled transformation

Experience in Education Industry is not mandatory.

Technical Capabilities:

The candidate should ideally be comfortable with:

- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets

- Data analysis and modelling

- Dashboarding / BI tools

- Basic-to-intermediate coding

- Data visualisation

- Working with large datasets

- AI / LLM tools

- Automation

Knowledge of SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio or similar tools would be advantageous. More important than expertise in any specific software is the ability to learn new technology quickly and apply it to real business problems.

The Person We Would Love to Hire:

We are particularly interested in someone who:

- Loves numbers and naturally looks for patterns within data.

- Is intellectually curious and frequently asks "Why?"

- Can move comfortably between granular data and the larger business picture.

- Has a strong problem-solving orientation.

- Is comfortable working independently and taking ownership.

- Does not wait for perfectly defined instructions before getting started.

- Enjoys building something from scratch.

- Has a bias for action and experimentation.

- Is comfortable interacting with senior business leaders.

- Can communicate complex analysis in simple language.

- Is excited about AI and emerging technologies.

- Wants a role that can become significantly larger than the original job description.

What Success Could Look Like:

Within the first 1218 months, we would expect the successful candidate to have:

- Significantly strengthened the organisation's MIS architecture.

- Automated several repetitive reporting processes.

- Created intuitive, self-service dashboards for key stakeholders.

- Improved the quality and accessibility of management information.

- Established stronger visibility into key business metrics.

- Generated insights that have influenced important management decisions.

- Implemented AI / technology-enabled improvements in reporting and analysis.

- Independently identified and executed projects that improved organisational efficiency.

- Developed into a trusted analytical partner for business and functional leaders.

Why This Role?:

This role offers something that many traditional analytics positions may not: Breadth + Ownership + Visibility + Impact.

You will have the opportunity to work with data across multiple functions of a growing organisation, interact with senior leadership, build systems rather than simply operate them, and see your analysis translate into real business decisions.

As the organisation grows, the role has the potential to evolve beyond MIS & BI into areas such as: Business Analytics | Strategy | Business Excellence | AI & Automation | Transformation

If you are someone who wants to do more than create reportsand would like to use data, technology and curiosity to help build a better organisationwe would like to meet you.
