Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced US Tax Manager or Senior Manager with 6+ years of specialized experience in US taxation (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065) to join a top-ranked US accounting and advisory firm.


This is a leadership opportunity to manage complex engagements, gain global exposure, and drive significant client impact. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled CPA or CA ready to step into a client-facing role, managing high-level compliance and strategic tax planning for both US and multi-state entities.

Key Responsibilities

- Engagement Leadership: Lead, manage, and deliver complex US and multi-state tax engagements across various entity types (including 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065).

- Compliance & Planning: Review, analyze, and consult on high-level tax compliance and strategic tax planning projects to ensure accuracy and optimize client outcomes.

- Client and Regulatory Partnership: Partner directly with clients to build strong, trusted relationships. Act as the primary liaison with the IRS and various state agencies regarding complex tax matters.

- Team Growth & Mentorship: Lead with ownership by mentoring, guiding, and growing teams of tax professionals. You will be responsible for developing talent and delegating tasks effectively to manage workflow.

- Technical Review: Conduct meticulous review of complex tax returns and work papers, ensuring adherence to all federal and state tax laws and firm quality standards.

Qualifications

- Education: Must possess a recognized professional qualification as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant).

- Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience specializing in US corporate, partnership, and individual taxation.

- Technical Expertise: Deep technical expertise and hands-on experience with core US tax forms, including 1040 (Individual), 1120 (Corporate), 1120S (S-Corp), and 1065 (Partnership).

- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage tax engagement teams, including strong mentoring and delegation skills.

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for direct client interaction and negotiation with regulatory bodies.

Preferred Skills: Experience with multi-state tax compliance and exposure to tax software and research tools (e.g., CCH, Thomson Reuters).
