Executive Assistant

Progressing to Chief of Staff

Full Time | Reports to: CEO / Executive Director | Hyderabad, India

Midwest Limited is a 40-year-old industrial group with a dominant position in global granite exports and an active expansion into rare earth oxides and critical minerals. This role places you at the centre of that, working directly alongside the CEO / Executive Director on the decisions and priorities that shape where the business goes next. You start as Executive Assistant. As you demonstrate financial, strategic, and governance capability, you grow into Chief of Staff. That progression is real and performance driven.

What You Will Do

- Translate strategy into action plans with named owners, milestones, and measurable outcomes that teams can follow and be held accountable against.

- Prepare board packs, investor briefings, financial summaries, and background notes for high-stakes meetings.

- Track budgets, monitor adherence, flag variances early, and coordinate with finance on consolidated management reporting.

- Drive governance: document decisions, coordinate audits, maintain compliance registers, and ensure nothing falls through the gaps.

- Run leadership meetings end to end - agendas, and chasing every action to closure.

- Act as the connective layer across departments, resolving bottlenecks and keeping cross-functional projects moving.

- Build business cases, dashboards, and reports that give leadership what they need to decide, without the noise.

Reporting

- Reports to: CEO/ Executive Director, Midwest Limited

- Works with: CFO, COO, CHRO, SVP, VP and Business Heads, HOD's

What We Are Looking For

- CA, MBA, or Executive MBA from a reputed institution. A full-time programme from a premier institute is strongly preferred.

- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in strategy, consulting, finance, or a demanding corporate role.

- Financially literate - comfortable reading a budget, challenging a variance, and producing management reports.

- A strong writer who can draft correspondence, briefing notes, and board materials on behalf of senior leadership.

- Self-driven with AI tools. Use of tools like Claude or ChatGPT for research, drafting, and analysis is expected as a matter of course, not a bonus.

- Structured and proactive - you identify what needs to be done, act without being prompted, and follow through every time.

- High discretion and composure. You will be trusted with sensitive information across the business.

- Low ego and collaborative - able to influence without authority and perform without requiring the credit.
