
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant (Finance & Manufacturing)
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Finance and Manufacturing modules. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in gathering business requirements, designing functional solutions, configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly NAV), and successfully delivering end-to-end ERP implementations for global clients, particularly across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation projects.
- Conduct business process analysis and gather functional requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into functional solution designs and system configurations.
- Configure and implement Finance, Manufacturing, Inventory, and Supply Chain modules.
- Conduct workshops, requirement gathering sessions, gap analysis, and solution demonstrations.
- Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDD), Solution Design Documents (SDD), and user documentation.
- Collaborate with technical consultants and developers for customizations and integrations.
- Perform system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and support deployment activities.
- Provide post-implementation support and resolve functional issues.
- Deliver user training and knowledge transfer to business teams.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed within scope, quality standards, and timelines.
Required Skills & Experience:
1. Microsoft Dynamics Expertise:
- Strong functional consulting experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
- Hands-on experience in multiple end-to-end Business Central implementation projects.
- Expertise in configuring and implementing Business Central modules.
2. Finance Modules:
- Strong understanding of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Bank Reconciliation, Budgeting, Cost Accounting, and Financial Reporting.
3. Manufacturing & Production:
- Experience with Production Orders, Bills of Materials (BOM), Routings, Capacity Planning, Shop Floor Management, Production Planning, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
4. Supply Chain & Inventory:
- Hands-on experience in Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Procurement & Purchasing, Sales & Distribution, Item Tracking, Vendor Management, and Supply Chain Operations.
5. UK & Europe Implementation Experience:
- Candidates should have experience working on Business Central implementations for UK and European clients with knowledge of VAT Compliance, Intrastat Reporting, Multi-Currency Operations, Multi-Company Setup, Localization Requirements, and Financial Regulations.
Required Competencies:
- Strong requirement gathering and business analysis skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication.
- Ability to recommend ERP best practices and process improvements.
- Experience preparing functional documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working in Agile or Waterfall implementation methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Certification.
- Experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, or Supply Chain industries.
- Exposure to ERP integrations with third-party applications.
- Experience working with international clients.
