Role Overview

The General Manager - Construction & Projects owns the end-to-end delivery and performance of MicroMitti's infrastructure and development portfolio - from planning, approvals, and procurement through execution, commissioning, and handover - ensuring quality, compliance, profitability, and on-time delivery. Given that MicroMitti's own capital is co-invested in each asset, on-time, on-budget, on-spec delivery is directly tied to investor trust and returns.

Why this role matters now: With MicroMitti's capital in every project, construction delay or cost overrun is not just an operational issue - it directly hits investor returns and the trust proposition. Delivery discipline and clean contractor governance (including large civil contracts) are core to this role.

Key Responsibility Areas

Project Portfolio & Delivery

- Lead the Infrastructure & Projects division across residential, commercial, IT-park (Cyber City), and plotted developments.

- Deliver projects within scope, budget, quality standards, and timelines; install monitoring and review mechanisms that track progress and mitigate risk.

- Ensure successful commissioning, handover, and closure.

Construction & Operational Excellence

- Lead all construction from mobilization to completion; ensure adherence to approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.

- Drive productivity improvements, resolve critical technical and execution challenges, and embed best practices.

Procurement, Contracts & Vendor Governance

- Oversee contractor selection, procurement, and vendor management for large civil contracts; ensure every contract is complete and enforceable before sign-off, in coordination with Legal.

- Monitor contractor performance and contractual obligations; review and certify bills, variation orders, and commercial claims with discipline.

Compliance & Governance

- Ensure compliance with RERA, environmental, fire-safety, and building-code requirements; coordinate with approval authorities.

- Maintain project documentation, audit and inspection records, and a culture of safety and quality across sites.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

- Provide accurate, single-source project status, cost, and risk reporting to leadership - consistent with company-wide reporting integrity.

- Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Liaison, and Sales teams, and with investors and consultants.

Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor project managers, engineers, and site teams; set performance metrics and review mechanisms.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory); MBA/PGDM in Operations, Infrastructure, or Project Management preferred.

Experience

- 15-20+ years in real estate, infrastructure, EPC, or township development, managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.

- Strong exposure to residential, commercial, IT-park, and plotted/mixed-use developments.
