Role Overview

The Area Sales Manager Channel Sales will be responsible for driving sales growth for the LABTEC/ANACHEM Division through channel partners across the assigned territory.

The role involves managing dealers and distributors, developing new customer accounts, achieving sales targets, and strengthening long-term relationships with customers and channel partners.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Growth

Drive sales of the LABTEC/ANACHEM divisions complete product portfolio, including:

- Laboratory Balances, Mass Comparators, Moisture Analyzers

- pH Meters, Density Meters, Titrators

- UV/VIS Spectrophotometers, Refractometers, Melting Point Instruments, etc.

Generate sales through channel partners, sub-dealers, and agents across industries such as Pharma, Chemical, Food, Education, and Government Research Institutes.

Convert qualified opportunities into confirmed sales orders.

Achieve assigned sales targets, profitability goals, and cost objectives in line with the Regional Business Plan.

Channel & Partner Management

Develop and implement effective stock and sales strategies with channel partners.

Support partners in lead generation, lead nurturing, and opportunity management.

Coach, mentor, and motivate channel partners to drive business growth and meet targets.

Monitor and review channel sales performance on a monthly basis.

Customer & Account Management

Develop new customer accounts and identify new business opportunities.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and value-added resellers (VARs).

Understand customer requirements and position METTLER TOLEDO products accordingly.

Operations & Coordination

Ensure timely collection of payments, service orders, and other contractual obligations.

Maintain collections within company-defined Days Outstanding (DO) norms.

Coordinate with service engineers for installations, preventive maintenance, and breakdown support.

Market Intelligence

Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, new technologies, and industry developments in analytical instruments and laboratory products.

Provide regular market feedback to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

M.Sc. / B.Sc. / Engineering Degree in Chemical, Electronics, or Instrumentation

MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred

Experience & Skills

35 years of experience in selling laboratory equipment, analytical instruments, or similar products

Strong experience in channel partner and dealer management

Exposure to CRM and/or SAP systems preferred

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Strong business acumen with the ability to work independently in a target-driven environment
