Location: SE & East Hyderabad

Role Overview:

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving sales and accounts receivable (AR) targets, penetrating assigned markets, and driving value-based selling of mid to high-value capital equipment across the SE & East territory.

The role involves managing key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver end-to-end customer solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

- Achieve monthly sales and AR targets for the assigned territory.

- Penetrate the market to generate new leads and prospects across industrial segments.

- Manage all assigned key accounts and key segments within the defined territory.

- Drive value selling by positioning mid to high-value capital equipment solutions.

Lead Generation & Order Conversion:

- Generate and convert sales leads from Food, Pharma, and Chemical industry segments into confirmed sales orders.

- Ensure effective receivable management and collections in line with company norms.

Technical & Operational Coordination:

- Conduct feasibility studies and define the right scope of solutions by working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

- Coordinate with customer support and service engineers for installations, preventive maintenance, and breakdown support.

- Maintain periodic updates of activities, opportunities, and account contacts in CRM systems.

Relationship & Territory Management:

- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective negotiation, objection handling, and consultative selling.

- Develop deep understanding of territory dynamics and industry trends.

- Be open to extensive travel within the assigned territory to support business growth.

Behavioral & Functional Competencies:

- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills

- Excellent negotiation, objection handling, and value-selling capabilities

- Effective presentation and communication skills in English (local language proficiency is an added advantage)

- Proactive mindset with strong ownership of targets and customer satisfaction

- Proficiency in CRM and SAP systems

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

- Degree or Postgraduate qualification in Engineering (Instrumentation / Electronics / Industrial Electronics)

- Strong technical aptitude with hands-on comfort in handling and operating equipment

Experience & Domain Knowledge:

- 2 - 5 years of experience in sales of packaging, printing, inspection, or processing machinery

- Experience in Food & Pharma segments or industrial products in local markets

- Knowledge of processing and packaging lines and machinery

- Exposure to SAP / CRM systems preferred

- Knowledge of AI-based solutions is an added advantage

Territory & Product Scope:

- Assigned Territory: SE & East Coastal Andhra, Telangana, Odisha, West Bengal, North-East, Nagpur, Chhattisgarh

- Products Handled: Checkweighers, Metal Detectors, X-ray Inspection Systems

- Industrial Segments: Food, Pharma, Chemical
