Designation - Senior Associate - Audit & Assurance

Work timing - 6 Pm - 3 Am IST

Working Days - 5 Days

Location - Remote

Experience: 4-6 Years (Preferred in Audit/Assurance Roles)

About the Role:

We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Senior Associate to join our Audit & Assurance team.

This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in independent work settings, are detail-oriented, and can confidently manage engagements from start to finish with limited oversight.

You will be responsible for supporting financial audits, reviews, and compilations - especially for first year clients - and converting traditional paper-based audit processes into digital formats.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accurately map prior-year and current-year trial balances to financial statements.

- Convert paper-based audits into digital formats and ensure accurate data transfer and documentation.

- Perform initial-year audit, review, and compilation engagements under the guidance of senior management.

- Take full ownership of assigned engagements - from planning through to deliverables.

- Communicate directly with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure clarity, alignment, and timely delivery.

- Manage and prioritize multiple engagements independently, escalating only when necessary.

- Utilize provided databases and templates as guides but apply professional judgment to complete tasks.

Key Requirements:

- 4-6 years of relevant experience in audit, assurance, or financial statement preparation, ideally at a public accounting firm.

- Strong understanding of trial balances, financial statements, and GAAP/IFRS (as applicable).

- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

- Comfortable working in a client-facing role and explaining complex financial matters.

- Familiarity with accounting software/tools, and adaptable to using new technology and systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

- CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification (or working toward one).

- Experience working in smaller firms or environments with less structure, requiring self direction.

- Prior exposure to first-time audits or digital transformation of financial data is a plus.

Why Join Us?

- Flexible, independent working style.

- Exposure to diverse and challenging engagements.

- Collaborative yet autonomous work culture.

- Opportunity to contribute meaningfully without the layers of bureaucracy.
