Job Description: Finance Specialist

Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the monthly closing of accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.
- Prepare detailed Management Information System (MIS) reports for senior management, providing insightful analyses of financial performance to aid in strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation for and coordination of quarterly audits under SEBI and IND-AS regulations, ensuring compliance and smooth audit processes.
- Prepare comprehensive accounts, including the Balance Sheet, following both Old GAAP and IND-AS standards, as well as specific banking formats.
- Develop and present the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement on a monthly basis, highlighting key financial trends and performance indicators.
- Maintain regular follow-up with Regional Finance Managers to ensure timely submission and accuracy of their monthly reports.
- Conduct in-depth variance and expense analysis, identifying discrepancies and providing explanations for deviations from expected figures.
- Perform thorough evaluation of Income & Expenses, ensuring accuracy and proper classification of all financial transactions.
- Conduct comparisons of actual financial results with budget numbers, providing detailed variance analysis to highlight areas for improvement or concern.
- Act as a key liaison with both External and Internal Auditors, providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support to facilitate smooth audit processes.
- Meticulously maintain all records pertaining to audits, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with audit requirements.
- Engage in effective stakeholder management, building strong relationships with internal and external parties involved in financial reporting and compliance.
- Ensure timely and accurate sharing of reports with holding and joint venture (JV) groups, maintaining transparency and effective communication.
Required Skills
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- Strong understanding and practical experience in monthly closing of accounts and financial reporting.
- Proven ability to prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports.
- Experience with quarterly audit processes, including familiarity with SEBI and IND-AS regulations.
- Proficiency in preparing financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) under various accounting standards (Old GAAP, IND-AS, banking format).
- Demonstrated skills in variance and expense analysis.
- Experience in liaising with both external and internal auditors.
- Excellent stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and collaboration.
