Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and versatile HR Generalist to join our growing team at Mesa. This role will be at the heart of building people practices, supporting employee engagement, and ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations. You will work closely with the leadership and team members to create an environment that enables performance, learning, and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Own employee lifecycle processes onboarding, induction, documentation, and exit formalities.
- Ensure statutory compliance (PF, ESI, labor laws) and maintain HR records.
- Manage HR systems, databases, and employee files.
Recruitment & Talent Management:
- Partner with hiring managers to run end-to-end recruitment from job postings to selection.
- Maintain talent pipelines and ensure a strong candidate experience.
Performance & Development:
- Support implementation of Mesas performance management framework.
- Coordinate feedback cycles, performance check-ins, and goal-setting.
- Facilitate learning and development initiatives.
Culture & Engagement:
- Drive employee engagement activities, culture-building initiatives, and communication forums.
- Be the point of contact for employee queries, ensuring a transparent and supportive workplace.
HR Projects & Strategy:
- Assist in designing HR policies and processes tailored to Mesas needs.
- Bring in fresh HR practices that align with Mesas ethos of innovation and learning.
What Were Looking For:
- 3 to 5 years of HR experience in generalist or HRBP roles (startup or education sector experience is a plus).
- Strong grounding in HR operations, compliance, and employee lifecycle management.
- Ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on execution.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High ownership mindset, adaptability, and enthusiasm for building something new.
