Merlin Brands - Deputy Finance Controller - D2C Brand

Description: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Deputy Finance Controller to oversee the companys finance operations, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role will work closely with the leadership team and play a key part in driving financial efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting business growth in a fast-paced D2C environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end finance operations, including accounting, reporting, audits, and internal controls.

- Oversee taxation and compliance activities GST, TDS, statutory audits, and regulatory filings.

- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting, ensuring timely and accurate insights for management decisions.

- Support strategic finance initiatives, including cash flow planning, cost optimization, and business profitability analysis.

- Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain) to enable financial discipline and process efficiency.

- Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring smooth coordination and timely deliverables.

- Implement and enhance ERP systems, accounting tools, and financial processes for scale and efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- CA or MBA (Finance) with 710 years of relevant experience in finance controllership and business finance.

- Exposure to D2C, FMCG, or e-commerce industries is a MUST.

- Strong understanding of compliance, taxation, and audit processes.

- Hands-on expertise in Tally, ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
