Merisis Advisors - Assistant Vice President - Private Opportunities

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Wealth Management Team with deep expertise in Private Investment solutions for HNI, UHNI clients and Family Offices. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of private market opportunities across both primary and secondary transactions. This is a multifaceted role that involves working closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners to build and expand Merisis Wealth's Private Markets platform. This role comes with revenue responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify, source, evaluate, and analyze private market investment opportunities across both primary and secondary markets. This will require ecosystem understanding of VC and PE Investors.

- Placing the curated deals in the market to investors along with Wealth teams and own Network.

- Stay abreast of developments in primary and secondary private markets, maintain a strong industry network for private opportunities.

- Support business development, marketing initiatives, and client acquisition efforts through product expertise and market insights.

Who We Are Looking For:

- 7 - 10 years of experience in Wealth Management, Investment Advisory, or Private Banking preferably with leading domestic or global private banks, wealth platforms, or asset management firms.

- We are also open to investment banking professionals who are looking to leverage their knowledge and networks.

- Must have a strong network within the private markets ecosystem, with deep awareness of current investment opportunities in both primary and secondary markets.

- Strong Analytical Skills to be able to evaluate and recommend investments in Private Opportunities. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Demonstrated ability to build credibility and trusted relationships with promoters, business owners, senior executives, and affluent clients.

- Mandatory exposure to private market investments, particularly secondary transactions.

- Strong understanding of the competitive landscape, including peer offerings, product capabilities, and industry trends.
