With our headquarters in Boston and offices in Bengaluru, Singapore, and Paris, we serve a global portfolio of enterprise clients who trust us with their most critical business transformations.

The Opportunity:

We're seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team in Bengaluru and drive our expansion in the US market. This is a full-time, on-site role offering the unique opportunity to work directly with US-based enterprise prospects during their business hours, building pipelines for one of the most strategic software categories in the market.

As an SDR at MergerWare, you'll be at the forefront of our go-to-market strategy, engaging with C-level executives, M&A directors, corporate development teams, and private equity professionals. You'll play a critical role in introducing our platform to organizations managing high-stakes transactions, making every conversation meaningful and impactful.

This role operates on US business hours to ensure optimal engagement with our target market.

What You'll Do:

Lead Generation & Prospecting:

- Build targeted prospect lists using various tools and databases, focusing on organizations actively involved in M&A activities

- Conduct multi-channel outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to engage decision-makers and influencers in the M&A space

Qualification & Pipeline Development:

- Execute high-volume outbound campaigns to generate qualified sales opportunities

- Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect pain points, deal workflows, and technology requirements

- Qualify leads based on BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) or similar frameworks

- Schedule qualified meetings and product demonstrations for the Account Executive team

- Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities aligned with quarterly and annual targets

Market Intelligence & Collaboration:

- Develop deep understanding of the US M&A landscape, including industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics

- Provide feedback to marketing on campaign effectiveness, messaging resonance, and market insights

- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoffs and closed-loop communication

- Partner with marketing on webinars, events, and content initiatives targeting the US market

CRM & Data Management:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM (Salesforce or similar)

- Track all prospect interactions, meeting outcomes, and pipeline progression

- Generate regular reports on activity metrics, conversion rates, and pipeline health

- Ensure data quality and hygiene across all lead and account records

Required Qualifications:

- 1-2 years of experience in inside sales, lead generation, or business development (SaaS/technology preferred)

- Exceptional communication skills: Articulate, persuasive, and confident in both verbal and written English

- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding activity and pipeline generation targets

- Self-starter mentality: Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

- Resilience and grit: Comfortable with rejection and persistent in pursuing opportunities

- Willingness to work US business hours (typically 6:30 PM - 3:30 AM IST or similar shift patterns)

- Tech-savvy: Quick learner with ability to master new tools and platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience selling to enterprise clients or mid-market accounts in North America

- Familiarity with M&A processes, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development

- Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools (Outreach, SalesLoft, Apollo)

- Previous experience in B2B SaaS sales, particularly enterprise software or workflow automation platforms

- Understanding of US business culture, communication styles, and buying processes

- Track record of consistently ranking in top 20% of SDR performance metrics

- Experience with account-based sales development or targeted account strategies
