Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our Merchant Tax Reporting International team in Bangalore. This role is responsible for supporting global merchant tax reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of tax-related reports. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Compliance, Legal, Product, and external stakeholders to support international tax reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare, review, and deliver merchant tax reports in line with international regulatory and statutory requirements.

- Support reporting obligations related to indirect taxes, withholding taxes, and information reporting for merchants across multiple countries.

- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of tax data provided to tax authorities, merchants, and internal stakeholders.

- Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams to understand data flows, resolve discrepancies, and improve reporting processes.

- Monitor changes in international tax regulations and assess their impact on merchant reporting requirements.

- Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and internal reviews by providing documentation and explanations as required.

- Assist in process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

- Maintain clear documentation of processes, controls, and reporting logic.

- Act as a point of contact for merchant-related tax reporting queries from internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.

- 3-6 years of experience in tax reporting, compliance, finance operations, or regulatory reporting, preferably in an international environment.

- Strong understanding of international tax reporting concepts and data-driven reporting processes.

- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global, and deadline-driven environment.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.

- Proficiency in Excel and experience working with large datasets; exposure to reporting tools or ERP systems is a plus.
