Merchandising Manager - Production & Quality - Jewellery

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Merchandising Manager specializing in Production and Quality for the Jewellery segment to oversee and manage merchandising activities across the North region. The ideal candidate will ensure product quality standards, coordinate production timelines, and work closely with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to deliver exceptional jewellery collections that meet market demand.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage merchandising operations for jewellery production and quality across the North region.

- Coordinate with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

- Monitor production schedules, material availability, and vendor performance to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.

- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to maintain product standards and compliance with industry regulations.

- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve production or quality issues promptly.

- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products to guide merchandising strategies.

- Prepare production forecasts and inventory plans based on sales data and market insights.

- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align merchandising efforts with business goals.

- Manage cost control measures to optimize production budgets without compromising quality.

- Train and mentor merchandising and quality teams in best practices and compliance standards.

- Ensure documentation and reporting for production status, quality control, and vendor assessments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Jewellery Design, Business Management, or related field.

- 8-12 years of experience in jewellery merchandising with a strong focus on production and quality management.

- In-depth knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.

- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

- Good understanding of market trends and customer preferences in the jewellery industry.

- Proficiency in merchandising software and MS Office.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
