Job Purpose: - Position shall be responsible for managing Consulting assignments in Power sector across the value chain (Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Trading, Renewables) in the following fields : - Regulatory /Policy /Tariff / Commercial / Open Access - Business plan/ Restructuring/ Turnaround Plan / Vision Document for utilities - Projects under different schemes of GOI such as Revamped Distribution scheme etc. - Studies such benchmarking, Performance Improvement, Ranking, Best Practices, Cost optimization, Risk Management, Asset Monetization, DPR preparation etc., for the utilities - Transaction Advisory for various projects of the utilities - Strategy projects involving Green energy, Green hydrogen, ESG strategy - Feasibility studies for new projects - Team building and Managing a team of Managers/Sr. Analysts and Analysts - Business Development - Client meetings for generating new opportunities, preparation and submission of proposals for consultancy tenders - Stakeholder Engagement - Identifying and creating business opportunities through strong stakeholder relationship. Experience and Qualification - 6-8 years of relevant experience, preferably from a consulting firm - B.Tech in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/Mechanical from NITs/IIITs or top Central/State Govt. funded Technical Institutes (Mandatory) + MBA in Finance/Power Management (Preferred) - CA/ CMA Duties and Responsibilities: - Regular engagement with clients for delivering consulting assignments successfully - Initiate, develop and support new and existing business opportunities - Efficient and inspiring management of the team - Conducting knowledge sharing sessions within team and organization at periodic intervals Required Skills: - Thought leadership - Ability to develop long term client relationships - Ability to take up and deliver business targets - Detailed knowledge of the Indian Power Sector, including its commercial, technological and regulatory drivers - Analytical and project management skills including the ability to implement projects (including more than one project at a time) and interacting with clients - An ability to multi-task effectively and balance time between project delivery and business development support effectively - Strong expertise in MS Excel based Financial Modeling - Strong written/oral communications skills and interpersonal skills - Strong presentation skills - Experience of using any of the Data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableu, Qlickview etc will be added advantage. - Experience of handling tariff filing related assignments, commercial agreements (PPA), bidding, litigations, etc. of generation, transmission and distribution companies. - Experience of having worked on renewable/conventional energy consultancy assignments. Working conditions / Location: There are multiple locations in India. The applicant should be open to travel within and outside country to manage Projects. He/ She should also be willing to relocate (if required) to other locations within country based on project requirements.
