Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced MEP Head - Design, Engineering & BIM to lead our multidisciplinary engineering and design function. The role will be responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership across MEP, BIM, Civil and Architecture disciplines, while driving project delivery, design excellence, client satisfaction, team capability and business growth. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in AEC / MEP / BIM / Design Engineering, with a proven track record of leading large multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex, large-scale engineering projects. Experience in Data Center / Mission Critical projects will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project & Design Management:

- Lead and manage multidisciplinary design and engineering teams across Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, Civil, Architecture and BIM disciplines.

- Manage complex engineering and design projects, ensuring adherence to scope, quality, schedule, budget and contractual requirements.

- Provide overall leadership for end-to-end project delivery, from planning and concept/design development through detailed engineering and final deliverables.

- Develop detailed project plans covering scope, timelines, resources, deliverables, budgets and project governance.

- Monitor project progress, performance, resource utilization, quality and financial performance.

- Identify project risks, dependencies and issues and implement effective mitigation and corrective action plans.

- Manage multiple projects and client engagements simultaneously while maintaining strong technical and commercial focus.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget and agreed quality standards.

- Drive design optimization, value engineering, constructability and innovative engineering solutions.

2. Design & Technical Leadership:

- Establish and maintain design standards, engineering methodologies, technical processes and quality benchmarks across the organization.

- Provide technical direction and governance for multidisciplinary design and engineering activities.

- Review and oversee design deliverables, technical solutions, calculations, specifications, drawings and engineering documentation.

- Ensure effective coordination and integration between MEP, BIM, Architecture, Civil and other engineering disciplines.

- Drive design reviews, technical audits, interdisciplinary coordination and quality assurance.

- Ensure compliance with applicable international/local codes, standards, client specifications and project requirements.

- Promote engineering best practices, standardization, automation and digital engineering solutions.

- Provide technical support for complex engineering challenges and critical client requirements.

3. Team & Capability Development:

- Build, lead and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary engineering organization.

- Manage teams across MEP, BIM, Civil, Architecture and Design Engineering disciplines.

- Develop organizational capabilities aligned with current and future business requirements.

- Drive competency development, technical training, mentoring and leadership development.

- Identify and develop future engineering leaders and strengthen the overall leadership pipeline.

- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, quality and continuous improvement.

- Drive employee engagement and retention of critical technical talent.

4. Client & Stakeholder Management:

- Act as a senior technical and delivery interface with key clients and strategic accounts.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, vendors and other stakeholders.

- Understand client requirements and translate them into clear engineering and project deliverables.

- Lead technical discussions, design reviews, project reviews and senior-level client meetings.

- Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of technical, commercial and delivery issues.

- Drive client satisfaction, repeat business and long-term account relationships.

5. Commercial & Business Growth:

- Maintain strong focus on project profitability, resource utilization, productivity and commercial performance.

- Support business development, proposals, bids, technical presentations and client pitches.

- Identify opportunities for account expansion, new services and diversification.

- Work closely with business development and leadership teams to develop new client relationships and strengthen existing accounts.

- Provide inputs for project estimation, resource planning, pricing and commercial proposals.

- Drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency, delivery margins and business growth.

Qualification & Experience:

Education:

- Bachelor's / master's degree in engineering, or a related technical discipline from a recognized university.

Experience:

- 22+ years of overall experience in AEC / MEP / BIM / Design Engineering.

- Minimum 8+ years of experience in building and leading multidisciplinary design and engineering teams.

- Proven experience in senior leadership positions such as MEP Head, Engineering Head, Engineering Director, Technical Director, Program Director, Delivery Head or Senior Engineering Manager.

- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale, complex, end-to-end engineering/design projects.

- Strong experience working with multidisciplinary teams across MEP, BIM, Civil and Architecture.

- Experience with Data Center / Mission Critical projects is highly preferred.

- Experience with international/global clients and large-scale engineering delivery environments will be an advantage.

- Experience in an AEC / Engineering Services / BIM / Design consultancy environment is preferred.
