Responsibilities: As the Buyer for Ethnic Wear in our Fashion Vertical at Mensa Brands, you will be responsible for managing the business portfolio for ethnic wear, overseeing all aspects of the buying process. This role requires strong analytical abilities, financial acumen, and a keen eye for market trends. Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Portfolio Management: - Oversee and manage the business portfolio for ethnic wear, encompassing analytics, financial planning, range planning, and stakeholder management. 2. Sales Optimization:- - Finalise MRP, discounts, and cost closures for the ethnic wear portfolio. - Conduct option planning to enhance product offerings and optimise sales. 3. Open-To-Buy (OTB) Working:- - Collaborate with the planning team on OTB working, ensuring alignment with sales goals. 4. Assortment Planning:- - Ensure a well-balanced assortment plan with the right mix of High Fashion, Commercial, and basic styles for the season. - Study previous season's performance and take corrective action based on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as ASPs, BQ, ABV, and Sell Through. 5. Brand KPIs and Theme Execution:- - Buy based on brand KPIs, including ASPs, Category Mix, and BQ. - Ensure that all themes and stories are planned and executed together on the shop floor. - Coordinate with the visual team, providing information on planned stories/themes. 6. OTB Checks and Collaboration:- - Conduct timely checks on OTB based on sales, fashion trends, and channel behavior. - Work cohesively with planners and merchandisers to align strategies and goals. 7. Reporting and Interaction:- - Generate monthly reports on competition brands and present insights to the Mensa Brands' team. - Directly interact with the brand's designers and suppliers, providing design/product direction for the season. 8. Supply Chain Management:- - Ensure all styles are delivered on time with the help of the sourcing team. - Follow up on stock movement at stores, checking ROS, Category Mix, and Sell Throughs. - Make allocations and replenishments based on stock movement and demand trends. Qualifications and Skills:- - Degree in Business, Fashion Management, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the fashion industry. - Strong analytical abilities and experience in financial planning. - Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate across teams. - In-depth understanding of market trends and key performance indicators. - Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with designers, suppliers, and internal teams.
