
Senior Transitions Manager
Would prefer ex-defence personnel.
We are seeking a Senior Transition Manager with deep Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) expertise to lead complex client transitions and implementations from presales handoff through steady state. This role owns the endtoend transition lifecycleplanning, governance, execution, risk management, and stabilizationensuring seamless onboarding, optimized workflows, and measurable performance outcomes across healthcare provider clients.
The ideal candidate is a trusted client partner, a rigorous program manager, and an RCM subjectmatter expert who can translate contract scope into executable plans while aligning people, process, and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Transition & Program Leadership
- Lead multiple concurrent client transitions of varying size and complexity, from contract signature to steady state operations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive transition plans, timelines, RAID logs, communication plans, and governance structures.
- Drive crossfunctional execution across operations, IT, product, compliance, training, and client stakeholders.
- Ensure scope adherence, manage change control, and align deliverables with contractual SLAs and KPIs.
Revenue Cycle Expertise
- Serve as the RCM authority across frontend, midcycle, and backend functions including scheduling, registration, eligibility, coding, charge capture, billing, AR followup, denials, and payment posting.
- Assess currentstate workflows and data, identify gaps, and design optimized futurestate processes.
- Guide data migration, payer setup, fee schedules, work queues, reporting, and system integrations (EHR/PM/clearinghouse).
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary transition contact for clients, building executivelevel trust and accountability.
- Facilitate steering committees, weekly status calls, and milestone reviews with clear, concise reporting.
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and escalations to resolution.
Team Enablement & Change Management
- Coordinate staffing, training, and knowledge transfer to ensure operational readiness.
- Lead change management activities to support adoption of new workflows, tools, and performance expectations.
- Mentor junior transition managers and contribute to standardization and best practices.
Performance & Stabilization
- Define success metrics and acceptance criteria; ensure smooth handoff to operations.
- Monitor earlylife performance, drive issue remediation, and achieve steadystate targets.
- Conduct postimplementation reviews and capture lessons learned.
Qualifications Required:
- 14+ years of healthcare Revenue Cycle Management experience with endtoend process knowledge.
- 7+ years leading complex client implementations, transitions, or largescale RCM programs.
- Proven track record managing multiple workstreams, timelines, and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance (HIPAA, payer rules, etc.).
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and executivelevel client management skills.
- Advanced proficiency with project/program management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira).
Preferred:
- Experience in RCM outsourcing, managed services, or vendorside implementations.
- Industry recognized PMP, Prince2 certification.
- Handson experience with major EHR/PM systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athena, eClinicalWorks).
- Experience leading transitions involving acquisitions, carveouts, or large provider groups.
