
Medical Superintendent (12-16 yrs)

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor procedures, policies, and performance standards for medical, nursing, and technical staff
- Oversee effective utilization of diagnostic services, inpatient beds, facilities, and manpower to ensure optimal resource allocation
- Conduct daily rounds, supervise clinical operations, and address patient and staff grievances
- Ensure adequate stock levels of medicines and essential medical supplies; coordinate procurement as required
- Lead clinical committees and drive discussions around operational improvements and governance
- Ensure all clinical policies and practices comply with regulatory and accreditation standards (NABH/JCI)
- Manage and respond to inspections, audits, and accreditation processes, ensuring full statutory compliance
- Prepare and submit required reports, including annual and operational metrics, to relevant authorities
- Collaborate with department heads to improve care quality, patient experience, and operational efficiency
- Stay updated on healthcare regulations, trends, and best practices
Must Have:
- MBBS with Master's in Hospital Administration (MHA) or equivalent
- 8-15 years of experience in hospital administration with exposure to clinical operations
- Prior experience in a Medical Superintendent or similar leadership role preferred
- Strong understanding of hospital operations, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage cross-functional clinical teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience in resource and operations management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
