Description:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Full-time regular Masters degree in a relevant discipline
- MJMC (Journalism & Mass Communication) or equivalent preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in media management, communications, public relations, or related fields
Key Responsibilities:
Media & Communications:
- Plan and manage media outreach, coordination, and engagement with print, electronic, and digital media
- Draft press releases, articles, briefs, and other communication materials
- Support media events, briefings, and stakeholder interactions
Content Development & Design:
- Design and develop communication materials such as brochures, posters, presentations, and digital creatives
- Prepare detailed reports on media coverage, communication activities, and project outcomes
- Maintain records of press clippings, media analytics, and engagement metrics
Digital & Social Media Management:
- Manage organizational social media platforms, including content planning, posting, and performance tracking
- Monitor audience engagement and recommend improvements to enhance reach and impact
- Support digital campaigns and online communication initiatives
Presentations & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop clear, visually engaging presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership, partners, and media representatives
Skills & Competencies:
Technical & Professional Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong report writing and documentation abilities
- Proficiency in CorelDRAW and familiarity with other design and creative tools
- Strong presentation development skills
- Hands-on experience in social media management and digital communications
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Attention to detail with a creative and strategic mindset
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working with government, public sector, or development organizations (if applicable)
- Familiarity with media monitoring and analytics tools
- Ability to handle time-sensitive communication requirements
