Key Responsibilities
Product Requirement Definition & Documentation
- Gather and translate business requirements into detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Break down complex insurance and claims use cases into structured, actionable insights for engineering and design teams.
- Maintain product documentation and ensure version control for stakeholder alignment.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Design, and Business Operations teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Partner with the UX/UI design team to ensure intuitive, user-centric interfaces.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
Data Analysis & Insights
- Perform data analysis using tools like SQL, Excel, or BI dashboards to identify patterns, pain points, and potential improvements in claim operations.
- Present insights to internal stakeholders and use data to back product decisions.
External Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the bridge between product and external partners such as clients, insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and global TPAs.
- Lead or support product demos, onboarding workshops, and training sessions for external partners.
- Capture feedback and evolving needs from external stakeholders to continuously refine the product roadmap.
Product Integrations & APIs
- Work with engineering teams to define specifications for system integrations, including APIs, data exchange formats, and middleware.
- Coordinate integration efforts with external systems such as client portals, insurer systems, broker tools, or policy admin platforms.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of integration projects, including planning, testing, go-live, and issue resolution.
Process Optimization & TPA Digitization
- Identify inefficiencies in the existing claims management processes and recommend digital product enhancements.
- Drive automation and innovation in areas like cashless approvals, reimbursement workflows, pre-authorization, and document management.
- Collaborate on implementation of AI/ML-driven decisioning tools for faster and more accurate claim processing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 3-6 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst in healthtech, insurtech, or TPA domains.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of international insurance, claims workflows, and healthcare ecosystem.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for client demos, integration discussions, and partner alignment.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Excel, SQL, Postman, and BI tools (Optional)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of ICD/DRG codes, insurance policy structures, or TPA adjudication rules.
- Experience working with international clients or cross-border claims handling.
- Familiarity with data privacy and international compliance.
- Exposure to API-led integration or SaaS product onboarding for B2B clients.
