Job Objective

To lead payroll governance, statutory compliance frameworks, and benefits strategy for Medantas expanding workforce, while ensuring seamless HR operations, policy adherence, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Leadership

- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple locations.

- Establish payroll governance checks, reconciliation processes, and compliance validation with Finance.

- Design process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in payroll operations.

- Drive automation and integration of payroll systems with HR and Finance modules.

Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure organizational compliance with labour legislations, PF, ESI, TDS, gratuity, and other statutory requirements.

- Represent the organization during inspections, audits, and liaise with government authorities.

- Maintain updated knowledge of changes in labour laws and advise management on implications.

- Prepare and present compliance dashboards and risk reports to leadership.

Benefits & HR Operations

- Lead employee benefits programs including group insurance, leave policies, and gratuity administration.

- Supervise Full & Final settlements and exit compliance.

- Collaborate with HRBPs on policy implementation and grievance redressal related to payroll/compliance.

Requirements

- 7-10 years of progressive experience in payroll & statutory compliance, preferably in large-scale healthcare/manufacturing setups.

- Strong expertise in HRIS and payroll automation.

- In-depth knowledge of labour laws and government regulations.

- Proven ability to manage audits, inspections, and statutory filings.

- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to design and enforce compliance frameworks at scale
