Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Planning & Sourcing Strategy:

- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for raw material categories in alignment with business and global procurement objectives.

- Forecast raw material requirements in collaboration with Supply Chain and Production teams.

- Monitor commodity markets and analyse pricing trends to identify risks and opportunities.

- Build procurement plans to ensure optimal material availability while meeting inventory and working capital targets.

- Support long-term category strategy development and risk mitigation plans.

2. Supply Planning & Risk Management:

- Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials across manufacturing operations.

- Monitor material coverage, stock levels and supplier performance.

- Identify and proactively manage supply chain risks through alternate sourcing, safety stocks and contingency planning.

- Coordinate resolution of material shortages and supply disruptions.

3. Supplier Relationship Management:

- Identify, evaluate and develop strategic suppliers.

- Lead supplier performance reviews covering quality, service, cost competitiveness and compliance.

- Drive supplier engagement and capability improvement programs.

- Ensure supplier adherence to Company Code of Conduct, sustainability requirements and contractual obligations.

- Build collaborative relationships with key suppliers to support business growth and innovation.

4. Commercial Negotiation & Contract Management:

- Lead commercial negotiations for raw material categories.

- Manage RFQs, tenders, contracts and commercial agreements.

- Deliver annual savings targets through negotiations, strategic sourcing and productivity initiatives.

- Track market movements and develop cost management strategies.

- Ensure compliance with approved contracting and procurement governance processes.

5. New Supplier Development & Innovation:

- Drive supplier scouting and onboarding activities.

- Support qualification of alternate suppliers and materials.

- Coordinate supplier participation in innovation and productivity projects.

- Facilitate commercial evaluation of new materials and technologies.

6. Quality, Compliance & Governance:

- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval matrices and legal requirements.

- Support supplier audits and quality improvement initiatives.

- Ensure timely execution of procurement documentation and contracts.

- Drive ethical sourcing and sustainability requirements across the supplier base.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Partner with Production, Quality, R&D, Finance, Supply Chain and Sustainability teams.

- Support new product development and reformulation projects through supplier engagement.

- Coordinate material-related issue resolution and corrective action implementation.

- Provide procurement expertise to support business decision making.

8. Inventory & Working Capital Management:

- Monitor raw material inventory levels and coverage.

- Drive inventory optimization initiatives while safeguarding supply continuity.

- Support reduction in excess and obsolete inventory.

- Balance procurement decisions with working capital objectives.

9. Systems, Reporting & Analytics:

- Maintain procurement master data including vendor and material codes.

- Ensure SAP, JAGGAER and other procurement systems are effectively utilized.

- Prepare procurement dashboards and KPI reports.

- Track OTIF, savings, supplier performance and risk metrics.

10. Strategic Procurement Initiatives:

- Lead sustainability and responsible sourcing programs.

- Drive commodity risk management initiatives.

- Support CAPEX and promotional projects from a sourcing perspective.

- Identify and implement value engineering and cost optimization opportunities.

- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance procurement efficiency and business performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Management or related field.

- 8 - 12 years of procurement experience, preferably in FMCG/Food Manufacturing.

- Strong understanding of commodity markets and strategic sourcing.

- Experience in contract negotiation and supplier development.

- Working knowledge of SAP, procurement systems and spend analytics tools.
