Mazars - Assistant Manager - Valuation

Location: Gurgaon India (Hybrid)

Who we're looking for

We are seeking a high-performing Valuation Manager to join our Luxembourg-based Valuation practice, working remotely from Pune, India, and leading a local team of valuation analysts. You will act as a key part of our core team, responsible for managing project delivery, supervising India-based juniors, and coordinating directly with senior staff and Partners in Luxembourg. Our focus is on independent and audit-assist valuations for private equity, venture capital, and private debt fund clients across Europe, involving illiquid assets and complex capital structures.

This is a leadership-track position suited for candidates with strong technical grounding, experience in financial modeling, excellent structuring and writing skills, and the ability to manage people, priorities, and quality at once.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead valuation engagements end-to-end (modeling, analysis, reporting, coordination with Lux)

- Manage and coach the local team of analysts and senior analysts in India

- Ensure quality of deliverables, resolve technical valuation issues, and maintain alignment with IPEV

- Prepare and review financial models (DCF, market comps, LBO, convertible instruments, waterfall, etc.)

- Draft and review valuation reports and internal memorandums in English

- Act as liaison between the India team and Luxembourg leadership, ensuring clarity, consistency, and deadlines are met

Your Profile:

- 5+ years of relevant experience in valuation, deal advisory, or transaction services (Big 4, boutique advisory, or valuation teams of global firms preferred)

- Proven team management and project delivery experience

- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or CA/CFA Level III candidate or holder

- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to independently build, troubleshoot, and review models

- Excellent command of English (written and spoken); EU language is a plus
