Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Capital Strategy

About the Role:

Max Estates Limited is looking for high-potential professionals to join the Capital Strategy team. This is a multi-dimensional role offering exposure to capital raising, transaction execution, investment evaluation, and investor relationship management, with direct interaction with senior leadership and global institutional investors.

The role is suited for professionals with 1-5 years of relevant experience who have strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and an interest in capital markets, investments, transactions, and real estate.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Capital Raising & Investor Engagement

- Support end-to-end capital raising initiatives with global and domestic institutional investors.

- Participate in and independently lead investor discussions and presentations, where required.

- Manage ongoing investor communication, including updates, queries, and follow-ups.

- Support preparation of investor-facing materials and communication for capital raising initiatives.

- Develop a strong understanding of investor requirements, expectations, and investment thesis.

2. Transaction Execution:

- Lead preparation of key investment and transaction materials, including:

- Investment memos

- Teasers

- Financial models

- Presentations

- Data rooms

- Drive due diligence processes with investors, advisors, and internal stakeholders.

- Support deal structuring, negotiations, and documentation.

- Coordinate with legal, tax, financial, and other advisory teams through the transaction lifecycle.

- Track transaction milestones, identify dependencies, and ensure timely closure of assigned workstreams.

3. Investment Evaluation & Analysis:

- Conduct financial and commercial analysis of investment opportunities.

- Build and review financial models, valuation analyses, and investment cases.

- Evaluate key investment metrics, assumptions, risks, and potential returns.

- Support preparation of recommendations and presentations for senior management and investment decision-making.

- Conduct market and sector research to support investment evaluation and capital allocation decisions.

4. Investor Relationship Management:

- Track performance of existing investments from an investor perspective.

- Act as a day-to-day interface for investors and ensure timely responses to information requests and queries.

- Prepare and manage investor reporting, including quarterly updates, dashboards, and performance reports.

- Build and nurture long-term institutional relationships to enable repeat capital and future investment opportunities.

- Ensure a high level of responsiveness, professionalism, and service quality in investor engagement.

Educational Qualifications:

- Tier-1 undergraduate degree in Engineering / Economics / Commerce or a related discipline.

- MBA from a top-tier institution such as IIMs, ISB, or a globally reputed equivalent institution.

- CFA (completed or in progress) will be a strong advantage.

Experience & Background:

- 1-5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:

- Investment Banking

- Private Equity / Funds

- Strategy / Transaction Advisory / Consulting

- Real Estate / Infrastructure Platforms

- Corporate Finance / Investments

- Strong exposure to:

- Financial modelling and valuation

- Deal evaluation and transaction execution

- Investment analysis

- Capital raising

- Working with institutional investors or stakeholders

- Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage analytical and execution-oriented workstreams with limited supervision.

Skill Set:

Core Skills:

- Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities.

- Strong understanding of investment analysis and transaction processes.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.

- Ability to drive workstreams independently and manage multiple priorities.

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
