About the Role
The Head - Learning & Development will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling a comprehensive learning strategy that supports organizational growth, leadership development, and capability building across academic and corporate teams.
This role will work closely with senior leadership, HR teams, and functional heads to build structured learning journeys, develop leadership capability, and strengthen organizational performance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of strategic thinking, learning design expertise, and execution excellence to build scalable development programs in a high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
Learning Strategy & Capability Building:
- Design and implement an enterprise-wide learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals and growth priorities.
- Develop competency frameworks across functions and organizational levels.
- Build structured learning journeys for early-career professionals, managers, and leadership teams.
Leadership Development:
- Design and implement leadership development programs to strengthen managerial and strategic capabilities.
- Develop succession planning frameworks and leadership pipelines across the organization.
- Support senior leadership in identifying high-potential talent and designing targeted development programs.
Training Design & Implementation:
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) across departments to identify capability gaps.
- Develop and deliver functional, behavioral, and managerial training programs.
- Partner with internal leaders and external experts to design impactful learning interventions.
Learning Systems & Program Management:
- Implement and manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) or digital learning platforms.
- Manage external training partners, vendors, and program budgets.
- Build and lead the Learning & Development team to deliver high-impact learning initiatives.
Measurement & Impact:
- Define L&D KPIs and track the effectiveness of training initiatives.
- Measure the impact and ROI of learning programs using performance and business metrics.
- Align learning initiatives with performance management frameworks to drive measurable outcomes.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- 8-12 years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, or Organizational Development.
- Experience working in high-growth startups, consulting firms, education organizations, or dynamic environments is preferred.
Core Skills:
- Strong expertise in leadership development frameworks and competency modeling.
- Proven experience designing scalable learning systems and development programs.
- Ability to translate organizational strategy into capability-building initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across leadership and functional teams.
