Role Overview :
The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for designing and driving the people strategy aligned with business objectives. This role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution across talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, organizational development, compliance, and culture building.
The ideal candidate should have experience scaling teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments and be passionate about building systems, processes, and people practices that enable organizational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic HR Leadership :
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and growth plans.
- Partner closely with leadership teams to drive workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
- Build and institutionalize HR policies, frameworks, and best practices.
Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding :
- Lead end-to-end recruitment strategy across academic, corporate, and operational functions.
- Strengthen employer branding and candidate experience initiatives.
- Build strong hiring processes to attract high-quality talent.
Employee Lifecycle Management :
- Own and manage the complete employee lifecycle :
1. Hiring & onboarding
2. Performance management
3. Learning & development
4. Employee engagement
5. Career progression
6. Retention strategies
7. Exit management
- Ensure seamless employee experience across all touchpoints.
Culture & Employee Engagement :
- Foster a high-performance, entrepreneurial, and collaborative culture.
- Design and execute employee engagement initiatives and wellness programs.
- Build mechanisms for continuous feedback and employee listening.
Performance & Capability Development :
- Design KPI and performance review systems aligned to business outcomes.
- Identify capability gaps and drive learning interventions.
- Mentor managers on people management and leadership practices.
HR Operations & Compliance :
- Ensure HR operations, payroll coordination, documentation, and compliance are efficiently managed.
- Maintain compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Drive HR analytics and reporting for leadership decision-making.
Organizational Development :
- Lead change management and organizational restructuring initiatives where required.
- Build scalable HR systems and processes for future growth.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA/PGDM in HR or related field preferred.
- 8- 15 years of HR experience, including leadership roles.
- Experience in high-growth startups, education, consulting, or consumer-facing organizations preferred.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and people analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to build HR systems from the ground up.
