About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager - Admissions to lead our sales and business growth initiatives. This leadership role demands a strategic thinker with strong execution skills to drive revenue growth, manage sales teams, and develop scalable business strategies for the assigned vertical or business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
- Develop and implement the overall sales and business growth strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and potential revenue streams.
- Set ambitious yet achievable sales targets and growth plans for the vertical/business unit.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt strategies proactively.
2. Sales Team Management & Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team across multiple locations or regions.
- Define team structure, roles, and responsibilities to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, training sessions, and career development initiatives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
3. Customer Relationship & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term engagement through effective communication and delivery oversight.
- Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
4. Financial Management & Reporting:
- Manage P&L for the vertical/business unit, ensuring profitability and cost optimization.
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior management.
- Drive pricing, contract negotiations, and deal closures to maximize revenue and margin.
5. Process Optimization & Technology Adoption:
- Implement and refine sales processes, CRM systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and visibility.
- Leverage data analytics and market insights to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
- Champion innovation and adoption of new technologies to stay competitive.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive sales/business development experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading large teams and delivering consistent revenue growth.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
