Masters' Union - General Manager - Growth

Masters Union.8 - 12 yrs.Gurgaon/Gurugram

Total Experience: 8 - 12 years

Why this role exists:

We need an owner who can run the full growth loop for our AI programmes: someone who understands the AI/DS domain well enough to speak credibly to engineers and stakeholders, and who can execute growth like an operator, not a marketer waiting on briefs.

This is a build role. You will own outcomes, not tasks.

What you'll own:

- Admissions funnel performance (Lead to App Start to Paid to Enrolled)

- Performance marketing: Google, Meta, LinkedIn campaigns; own CPL, CAC, and funnel conversion benchmarks

- Offline GTM: college partnerships, tech-fest sponsorships, tech professionals community events, campus ambassador programmes, corporate/GCC outreach

- Content that converts: webinar formats, career-switch content, landing pages, ad creatives, working with design and content teams

- Community/distribution partnerships (developer communities, GATE prep institutes, skilling platforms)

- Working closely with the Acads, Curriculum, and Outclass teams to stay close to programme quality and drive high student NPS, feeding classroom and cohort signals back into admissions positioning

Who we're looking for:

- Engineering background, ideally from a top-tier institute (IIT/NIT/BITS or equivalent), with enough technical fluency in AI/ML/Data Science to evaluate curriculum and not get talked over by faculty or partners

- 3 to 6 years in education/EdTech/consumer tech, having owned growth for a course, cohort, or vertical, not just executed someone else's plan

- Working knowledge of performance marketing (can read a funnel, knows CPL/CAC/ROAS, has run or closely managed paid campaigns)

- Experience running offline/on-ground GTM: college tie-ups, events, community partnerships, not a purely digital-only background

- Comfortable with content: can write a webinar script, brief a designer, spot what's wrong with an ad creative

- Strong bias for action: brings two options and a recommendation, not a question, when facing ambiguity

- Comfortable owning a number and being measured on it

Nice to have:

- Experience growing cohort-based programmes, in higher education, or EdTech categories specifically

- Prior exposure to the DS/AI/ML domain (not just generic tech)

- Experience with postgraduate programme admissions (higher stakes, longer sales cycle, higher AOV than short courses)

- Has built something 0 to 1 before (a vertical, a product line, a community)
