As one of Indias fastest-growing educational institutions, were expanding our team and looking for an HR Lead who will play a pivotal role in building, nurturing, and scaling our people culture.
Role Overview:
The HR Lead will own the entire people function at Masters Union from talent acquisition and culture-building to performance management and employee experience.
This is a strategic and operational role for a hands-on, proactive HR leader who can partner with leadership, build scalable processes, and create a people-first organization that attracts top-tier talent from education, startups, and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment across all verticals academic, corporate, and student-facing functions.
- Partner with function heads to understand manpower needs and design effective hiring strategies.
- Build and promote Masters Unions employer brand to attract high-performing talent.
- Manage external agencies and talent pipelines for critical roles.
2. People Operations & HR Systems:
- Build and refine HR policies, SOPs, and documentation.
- Oversee HR operations onboarding, payroll coordination, leave & attendance, compliance, etc.
- Implement HRIS tools and systems for data-driven decision-making.
3. Performance Management & Development:
- Design and run a structured performance management framework (OKRs, reviews, feedback loops).
- Partner with leaders to identify learning needs and implement L&D initiatives.
- Ensure career growth conversations and retention programs are consistent across teams.
4. Culture & Employee Engagement:
- Champion Masters Unions culture of excellence, ownership, and innovation.
- Design engagement initiatives, team-building events, and recognition programs.
- Act as a trusted advisor and coach to employees and leadership on people-related matters.
5. Strategic HR & Leadership Partnership:
- Partner with the founding team to plan workforce strategy and org design.
- Provide insights on compensation, organizational effectiveness, and future workforce needs.
- Drive change management and internal communication around organizational initiatives.
