About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of HR / Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead the people function and build a high-performance, values-driven culture. This role will partner closely with the Founder, leadership team, and business heads to drive talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, and employee experience across the institution.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Talent Acquisition (TA), Talent Management, and Employee Engagement, along with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally in a fast-scaling environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive people strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and culture building.
- Build scalable HR systems, processes, and policies to support growth.
- Lead and mentor the HR team across functions.
2. Talent Acquisition (TA)
- Design and implement a best-in-class talent acquisition strategy to attract high-caliber academic and corporate talent.
- Build employer branding initiatives to position Masters Union as an employer of choice.
- Optimize sourcing, assessment, and hiring processes to ensure quality and speed.
- Drive leadership hiring and succession pipelines.
3. Talent Management & Development
- Establish performance management frameworks that promote accountability and excellence.
- Develop succession planning and leadership development programs.
- Identify high-potential talent and design growth pathways.
- Lead learning & development initiatives aligned with institutional goals.
4. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Foster a high-engagement, high-performance culture rooted in ownership and innovation.
- Design and implement engagement surveys and action planning processes.
- Drive DEI initiatives and employee well-being programs.
- Strengthen internal communication and recognition frameworks.
5. HR Operations & Governance
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee compensation & benefits strategy aligned with market benchmarks.
- Build robust HR analytics and dashboards for data-driven decision-making.
- Lead policy development, grievance management, and employee relations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 12 to 18+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Head HR / CHRO / HR Director).
- Proven expertise in Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Employee Engagement.
- Experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial, or education/startup environments preferred.
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience building HR functions from the ground up or scaling them significantly.
- MBA/PGDM in HR or related field preferred.
