The Associate Director Design Programmes
The Associate Director Design Programmes will play a pivotal role in conceptualising, launching, and managing new design-focused programmes at Masters Union. This is a senior leadership position requiring a strong professional background in design, corporate leadership experience, and the ability to build a high-impact academic experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Strategy & Leadership:
- Drive the overall vision, strategy, and execution of Design Programmes.
- Work with leadership to set programme KPIs including admissions, student outcomes, placements, and brand positioning.
- Ensure industry relevance and global competitiveness of all programme offerings.
Curriculum & Pedagogy Development:
- Develop and deliver cutting-edge curricula in UI/UX, Product Design, Interaction Design, and related areas.
- Embed live projects, case studies, industry mentorship, and labs into the learning journey.
- Continuously update curriculum to reflect emerging trends and technologies in design.
Industry & Faculty Engagement:
- Onboard leading design professionals as faculty, adjuncts, and mentors.
- Build partnerships with corporates, design studios, and creative agencies for projects, internships, and placements.
- Strengthen Masters Unions network and brand in the design ecosystem.
Candidate Profile:
- Educational Background: Professional degree in Design (UI/UX, Product Design or related fields) from a reputed institution.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of professional experience, with proven leadership roles in corporate or high growth startups.
- Strong exposure to design strategy, product development, innovation, and team leadership.
- Prior exposure to academia, programme design, or mentorship is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- A passion for shaping the future of design education in India.
