Role: Workday HCM Payroll Solution Architect
Focus: North America, UK, and Middle East Payroll
Experience: 8+ years overall and 5+ with strong Workday Payroll experience
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Workday HCM Payroll Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Workday Payroll solutions across North America, UK, and Middle East regions. The role requires deep expertise in global payroll processes, compliance frameworks, and multi-country deployments, along with strong leadership in delivering large-scale transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture, design, and deployment of Workday Payroll solutions across US/Canada, UK, and Middle East
- Drive end-to-end implementations, rollouts, and AMS engagements for global payroll programs
- Ensure compliance with regional payroll regulations, statutory requirements, and audit standards
- Collaborate with third-party payroll vendors and manage integrations
- Define data migration strategy ensuring accuracy, reconciliation, and audit readiness
- Lead payroll testing cycles including parallel runs and UAT
- Provide delivery assurance, governance, and risk management
- Drive automation and AI-led enhancements in payroll processing and reporting
- Act as trusted advisor to business stakeholders and leadership
- Mentor teams and support practice growth initiatives
Pre-Sales & RFP Responsibilities:
- Lead solutioning for RFPs, RFIs, and client proposals in Workday HCM
- Define solution architecture, estimates, and delivery approach for pursuits
- Collaborate with sales, delivery, and functional teams to create compelling proposals
- Participate in client presentations, demos, and due diligence discussions
- Build reusable assets, accelerators, and templates for pre-sales
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of IT / HR Technology experience with 5+ years of Workday experience with strong
focus on Payroll
- Must have Workday Payroll certification (US/UK preferred)
- Proven experience in multi-country payroll implementations (NA, UK, Middle East)
- Hands-on experience with payroll integrations and vendor management
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance and payroll processes
- Experience in data migration, reconciliation, and testing
- Excellent stakeholder and program management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lead the build, scale, and maturity of the Workday Financials, aligning with the organization's
strategic growth objectives.
- Track and report on key financial and operational KPIs (revenue, margin, utilization, cost of
delivery), and take corrective actions to meet targets.
- Exposure to Middle East Payroll Configurations
- Experience in global delivery models
- Knowledge of automation and analytics tools in HR/payroll
