
Role Summary
We are looking for an Assistant Manager Financial Reporting to support the preparation and reporting of the Banks standalone and consolidated financial statements, including those of its subsidiaries. The role involves ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and applicable regulatory requirements, while working closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and support the Banks standalone and consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities by preparing and presenting financial reports, schedules, and supporting information.
- Maintain and manage the Chart of Accounts, General Ledger (GL), products, cost centres, and project codes.
- Perform Head Office accounting activities, including maintaining accounting records for the Head Office branch.
- Record and reconcile income from other sources in the GL.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely closing of financial books.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
- Assist in identifying and implementing improvements in financial reporting and accounting controls.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in financial reporting and accounting within a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Hands-on experience with General Ledger accounting and Chart of Accounts maintenance.
- Ability to work directly with auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Education & Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant / CPA / equivalent (or nearing completion).
- Relevant experience in financial reporting, preferably within banking or NBFC environments.
