Role Purpose:


The Deputy General Manager Project Sales (Hospitality) will be responsible for driving Pan-India project sales exclusively within the hospitality segment, including hotels, resorts, serviced apartments, clubs, and institutional hospitality projects. The role focuses on specification selling, key account management, and project conversion, while leading regional project sales teams to achieve aggressive growth targets.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic & Business Leadership:


- Own Pan-India hospitality project sales revenue, targets, and growth strategy


- Develop and execute hospitality-focused sales strategy for hotels, resorts, chains, and luxury projects


- Drive product specification and approvals with hotel brands, consultants, architects, and designers


- Identify new hospitality opportunities across luxury, mid-scale, and budget hotel segments


Project Sales & Key Account Management:


Build strong relationships with:


- Hotel Owners & Developers


- Hospitality Chains & Brand Procurement Teams


- Architects, Interior Designers & PMC consultants


Lead end-to-end project lifecycle:


- Lead generation


- Design/specification


- Tendering & negotiation


- Order closure


- Coordination till execution & handover


- Ensure high success ratio in large-ticket hospitality projects


Team Leadership & Capability Building:


- Lead, mentor, and monitor regional project sales teams / ASMs handling hospitality projects


- Set KRAs, review performance, and drive accountability


- Recruit and build a dedicated hospitality project sales team as per business expansion plans


- Conduct regular sales reviews, pipeline tracking, and forecast planning


Market Intelligence & Collaboration:


- Track hospitality market trends, upcoming hotel projects, and competitor movements


Work closely with:


- Design & Technical teams


- Operations & Supply Chain


- Finance & CRM teams for seamless project execution and customer satisfaction


Governance & Reporting:


- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and ethical standards


- Maintain accurate CRM data, project pipelines, and management reports


Ideal Candidate Profile:


Experience:


8+ years of experience in Project Sales, preferably within:


- Hospitality interiors


- Building materials


- Architectural / interior products


- Mandatory exposure to hotel & hospitality projects (luxury / chain hotels preferred)


- Proven experience handling Pan-India projects or multi-region responsibility


Qualifications:


- Bachelors degree in Mechanics, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field
