Role: Investment Analyst- Rooftop Solar and other Cleantech Debt Finance- Delhi

Marman Climate Smart Technology Private Limited (Marman) is a Lending FinTech startup focused on Climate Finance in India, for segments including rooftop solar, waste management, DRE-agri-tech, e-Buses, green buildings, industrial waste-water treatment, and such other environment-related segments. Marman's business model is to underwrite early-stage and mid-sized B2B vendor partners in these Cleantech segments, and extend debt related services to them and their customers (SMEs or underserved segments), for their cleantech projects, without any hard collateral. Marman Climate Services Private Limited is a wholly-owned-subsidiary of Marman.

Marman is looking to recruit an Investment Analyst- B2B Cleantech Finance- based in Delhi NCR to join a start-up in its foundation stages- with all the joys and uncertainty associated with it! The candidate will take end-to-end ownership of deal origination, structuring, and execution, while strengthening the Marman brand and platform. The candidate must have a "can do" attitude and a "hunger for business" for the segments that we cater to, at the same time manage the relationships with promoters, CFOs, other lenders, and investors. This is a full-time, individual contributor role that requires you to work on and constructively take the deal to a meaningful conclusion.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Work on and actively contribute towards end-to-end deal lifecycle from origination to execution, including:

1. Deal Origination, Client Acquisition within the mid-sized or early-stage Cleantech industry in India

- Source and originate debt syndication, structured credit, and refinancing mandates

- Build Marman brand awareness among Cleantech promoters, CFOs, other lenders, and investors

- Identify opportunities in NCDs, mezzanine & special situations, along with the compliance and execution support eco-system relevant for the target group

- Lead client pitches and mandate closures

- be mobile and keen to meet new clients to expand Marman's coverage of the market

2. Deal Structuring & Execution

- Structure transactions including term loans, structured debt, bridge finance & hybrid capital

- Perform credit analysis, financial modeling & due diligence for comprehensive credit underwriting

- Understand the technology and industry of the Cleantech company, to make inferences for the credit underwriting

- Prepare investment decks, credit notes & IMs

- Drive transactions from term sheet to closure & disbursement, in sync with Marman strategy

- Portfolio Management, including monitoring KPIs, handling debt restructuring & stressed asset scenarios if applicable

3. Lender & Investor Relationship Management

- Build and manage relationships with Banks, NBFCs, Private Credit Funds, Family Offices, Investment Bankers, eco-system partners

- Enable syndication partnerships & co-lending opportunities

- Leverage networks to source deals and strengthen credit underwriting

4. Strategy & Market Intelligence

- Track RBI/SEBI regulations & credit market trends

- Identify opportunities in structured credit, alternative investments, project finance & leasing

- Build internal credit offerings and innovative non-credit offerings for Cleantech industry

- Maintain MIS, deal tracking & reporting dashboards

Requirements:

- You must be keen to join and be able to thrive in a startup that aims to grow aggressively in the sustainability finance space

- 2+ years' experience in Debt Syndication / Structured Finance / Investment Banking / NBFC Lending must

- CA or MBA (Finance) from Tier-1 institute - Mandatory

- Must have clear action-oriented thinking, with strong number crunching, analytical, problem solving and communication skills. Detail-oriented, proactive, and team-driven mindset

- Prior mid-market lending experience, particularly in Cleantech segment, is a plus

- Proven experience in deal origination & end-to-end execution, is a plus

- Strong exposure to credit assessment, financial analysis & cash flow modeling

- Hands-on experience in NCDs, mezzanine, structured credit, is a plus

- Experience in lender management (Banks, NBFCs, Private Credit, Family Offices)

- Exposure to restructuring / stressed assets / special situations, is a plus

- Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling & PPT

- Must have ability to work 'hands-on' and 'multi-task' effectively in a team

Location: Delhi NCR

Compensation expectation up to - 16 LPA preferred, using your own vehicle, laptop, mobile phone

- Candidates may be hired/transferred in any of Marman's group companies

- Must be comfortable in a goal-oriented, high integrity environment

- Must be comfortable to maintain frugality while not impacting customer-service or diluting the Marman brand.
