Role Overview:
The Marketplace & Performance Marketing Manager will own end-to-end marketplace performance across platforms such as Nykaa, Amazon, Myntra, and Flipkart. This role will act as the single point of contact for marketplaces and AMS agencies, managing sales growth, visibility, inventory health, marketing budgets, and financial reconciliations. The role is an individual contributor position with high cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs):
Marketplace Sales & Growth:
- Own daily sales performance across all marketplaces and track against targets
- Drive revenue growth through strategic visibility, pricing, and discounting initiatives
- Monitor marketplace rankings, conversion metrics, and category performance
Visibility, Ads & Marketing Spend:
- Act as the primary POC for marketplaces and AMS agencies
- Plan, execute, and optimise visibility campaigns, ads, and events
- Manage marketplace marketing budgets and ensure strong ROI and ROAS
- Review campaign performance and continuously optimise based on data
- Maintain documentation of visibility executed (screenshots, reports, learnings)
Inventory & Fulfilment Management:
- Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely B2B and B2C fulfilment
- Ensure zero stock-outs, especially for hero SKUs
- Track inventory ageing and lead liquidation / RTV planning for non-moving stock
- Minimise write-offs through proactive inventory management
Financial Reconciliation & Recoveries:
- Collaborate with the accounts team to track marketplace payouts, deductions, and claims
- Ensure timely recovery of dues from marketplaces
- Maintain clean account reconciliations and highlight discrepancies
Planning & Reporting Cadence:
Daily:
- Sales performance tracking
- Visibility/events executed with screenshots and next-day plans
Weekly:
- POs received and fulfilment status
- Updates on marketplace marketing calendars
- Performance review of ongoing visibility and discount campaigns
Monthly:
- Sales vs Target vs Spend analysis with ROAS
- Marketing budget utilisation and upcoming month's plan
- Status of outstanding recoveries and reconciliations
- FOC received and utilisation plans
- Stock holding and inventory health statement
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- 3-6 years of experience in marketplace management (beauty, FMCG, or D2C preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Nykaa, Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart seller panels
- Strong understanding of AMS / marketplace ad platforms and visibility mechanics
- Proven ability to manage marketing budgets with ROI accountability
- Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets for analysis and reporting
- Experience in inventory planning, stock ageing, and liquidation / RTV management
- Strong coordination skills across agencies, logistics, and finance teams
